2017 3rd Week ccTLD Market Report January 22nd - 28th.

We are happy to let you know that there are some ccTLDs names sold at the recently concluded NamesCon 2017 held in Vegas USA, from 21st which was the arrival day and closed on Wednesday 25th January 2017 There are five .tv names; such as 89.tv sold for $9,000, UF.tv and Rn.tv sold $5000 each whilst Dv.tv sold for $4500 and Ti.tv sold for $4050.

The most expensive ccTLD names of the week was Papa.de sold for $15,471 followed by Hc.tv sold for $12,750 and in third position was Bummeln.de sold for $10,937. There was an interesting hacked DonaldJTru.mp domain name which was sold for $502, the domain was sold at Flippa.

ccTLDs Market Sales Report For 15th - 21st January 2017

The ccTLDs market is now heading towards a positive direction in this week and I hope the trend will continue like that. We brought you 106 ccTLDs sales in this week report.


The highest domain sale this week is Aiuto.it, it was sold for $27,567 at nidoma.com. The next to that was Casinos.co.za sold for $21,360 at sedo.com, and the third highest name sold in the week was Venetie.nl for a sum of $19,500. It seems the South Africa extension .co.za is also making waves if use with a good short dictionary word, I have seen many of it sold at sedo on many occasions. You know the people of South Africa are so much loyal to their domain extension and there are very few other extensions in that country.

Weekly Sales Report of ccTLD Market for 8th - 14th January 2017

Pegasus.io was the most expensive ccTLD name sold in the week. The domain was sold on Tuesday 10th of January, 2017. Next to that was drones.mx sold on Thursday 12th January, 2017, and followed by water.ly which was also sold on Sunday 8th January, 2017.


70 ccTLD were sold during the week in review. It was noted that the sales of Pegasus.io was closed at Flippa.com. It seems Flippa did well in the week. In this report, Flippa alone sold 18 domains including the big one Pegasus.io and Go daddy sold 14 ccTLD names, park.io sold 23 names while sedo sold only 11 names.

Chinese Domain Investors Are Very Mean

It is very glaring that Chinese investors are more interested in the real values of short domain names better than every other western nations’ investors. To buttress my point; the Chinese investors have taken more than 22 percent of high valuable short names. Recently, they have once again bought JR.com. JR.com owner was a New York based company known as J&R Music Company and the domain was previously used by the company for a quite many years.

The domain has just been transferred from USA to a new owner in China. The new owner represented by 62.com. Not quite a long time ago in 2016 sometime in July YK.com was sold to a Chinese
