December 11th - 17th 2016 ccTLDs Market Sales Report

There are 78 ccTLDs domain Sales recorded during the week. As usual we brought you the data around the internet global village from various markets, as you can see on the table below, ranging from Sedo, Godaddy, park.io, flippa, namejet.com and DropCatch.

Most expensive sale in the week was f.gg sold for $13,339; a one letter domain, followed by Q.me; also a one letter domain sold for $7, 500.

What we deduced from this week sales data is that ccTLD niche is not any push away, even though there are many new extensions in the market. There are lots of surprises happening in the market and the trend is aggressively going green. The investors who are interested on ccTLD market should look for one word and very short letters; if possible, get one letter couple with good extensions; no one could get .com in that niche as a new reg anymore, but such as buying in the .de, .uk, and .at also .io is not bad for investment, .cc for Chinese market is also a good idea. One can even make quick sales if the domain is a combination of one letter combo.

ccTLDs Weekly Market Sales Report for 4th – 10th, December 2016

Sales of 114 ccTLDs were recorded in the week from various markets as you can see on the table below, ranging from Sedo, Pvt, Godaddy, ramped, catawiki, park.io is not left behind, flippa, namejet.com and DropCatch.

Most expensive among the domains sold was Uh.de sold at PVT for $50,456, Uh.de is a two letter .de domain. It is no longer news for domain investors that the shorter the name the better. There are other two LL domains sold like Jc.de for $21,200 Edu.de $12,614, Ver.de also $12,614 Ib.de for $10,600. What Type of Domain Name Can Be Invested Upon By Newbie's Domain Investors

This is a little note for newbie's domain investors. The material was written as results of many questions asked on social site about domain name business.

If you are new in domain biz, please do not go into other extensions, just stick to .com domains for now and keep learning. You can get them from either drops or expired and you can as well buy them as new reg. Brandables are hot in the market now, if you have the insight for brandables. With lots of experience, you can buy .net .org, .info etc. But have it in mind that those domains may not sell on time as you may want.

However, if you are into other extensions, it is sure that if they  are well chosen, they will sell. Well chosen in terms of rarity and with other good factors; such as good keyword/s, CPC, popularity etc. Selling these types of domain name has a peculiar strategy for selling them.

If you are investing on Chinese domains; you can venture on .cn and .cc or go for hacking types of domain niche. Domain hacking examples are: ita.ly, world.ly, selli.ng marketi.ng, wi.ng, bi.ng, domainki.ng etc and they also have their peculiar sales strategy as well. So that is why you should stick to .com if you are new in the biz.

If you have any domain/s banned by adsense, the worst is that you cannot use such for adsense and can be useful for other markets for money making.

CCTLD Market Is a Unique Niche Market on Internet

Country Code Top level Domains (CCTLDs) are a unique market niche on internet today, and there is no doubt about that. And that there is still much money to be making in this particular niche like every other TLD.

The major benefits of it are that, it serves as identity for the users to be more relevant in a particular nation or geographical location, it also proves the availability of the business within a particular nation or localities, it gives those feelings of belongings and trust.

Before I go further, I found it necessary to define the CCTLD for new comers understanding: CCTLDs are domain name extensions for every nation in the world; there are over 180 peculiar extensions. Domain name without extension is an incomplete name; it always comes after the main body of a domain, followed by dot and then the extension on the right side. For example; such as internet.co.uk, internet.co, internet.ca, internet.be and or whatever the extension you wish to acquire for your business on the World Wide Web.

There are many usage for Country Code Domains. In case of a startup; though, it is good to have .com for international recognition, especially, for eCommerce websites like amazon, ebay.com, buy.com, sell.com, and book.com also search engines like Google, yahoo and others are more relevant when they are using the cctld extensions.
et.co, internet.ca, internet.be and or whatever the extension you wish to acquire for your business on the World Wide Web.

Today's ccTLDs Market Sales Report.

We brought you the following sales report of some cctlds from Today’s market report. Though, each of them is sold below $500 in today’s market sales report found on namebio.com. However, they could be resold tomorrow and there would be a place to note that they were once sold for the price as listed in our today’s record.

We so believe in the adage that says what we do today is tomorrow’s history.  We extracted the list from bunch of them simply because they are cctlds.

My major observation on the domains is that they are all short names with exemption of cheaptickets.to where ever you wish to travel to.

 Happy reading.

How to Understand the Intrinsic Values in Domain Name

What are the intrinsic values of domain name?

Intrinsic are the values that can not ordinarily be realized, except by the experienced who could understand the values a particular domain name is having. Such values are given the startups series of challenges to identify.

In a case of a brandable domain name, for example: BrandBucket.com – a startup will definitely ask you about that particular domain name - Brand bucket? He or she will ask you of what value does brand bucket meant? And they in most cases rather use a literal meaning for it and say - it has to do with brand and bucket or a typical bucket is brand bucket.

Domain Investors Are Still Making Money From Newly Hand Registered Domain Names

The common adage among domain investors that says “premium domains are no longer available in the market for new registrations" is a mere  understatement with the ongoing trend in today’s secondary market. Yes! I mean that statement very well.

Going through the sales especially with Chinese market in 2015, also going through dnjournals.com and some sales in the market today has proved that statement wrong; very absolutely wrong. Compare what are happening in the New GTLDs market and also country codes are not left behind, coupled with brandable names, where you can even register a brandable today and sell it within shortest possible time. There are many technologies coming up and so on and so forth.

Domain Name Evolution Continue Trending Up

The Silent Evolution of Domain Names

Found this article on namepros and techcrunch and I think it will be of great interest to you as a domain investor and I on that note brought it for you.

Verisign recently reported that the number of registered dot-com domain names exceeded 128 million for the first time. With a wholesale price of $7.85 each, this means $1,004,800,000 in annual fees, and that’s before factoring in reseller prices, country code domains and alternative extensions to measure the domain-name industry as a whole. The internet has come a long way since the first domain name, Symbolics.com, was registered in 1985. Even longer when you consider it was only 1994 when Joshua Quittner (a WIRED writer at the time) contacted McDonald’s to see if they were interested in registering mcdonalds.com, and, well, got nowhere.

More Than One Million .UK Domains Are Registered at Godaddy

It was announced yesterday by the Executive V President of Godaddy International; Mr. Andrew Low Ah Kee, that the company is proud that 25 percent of UK domains are been registered by various entrepreneurs at Godaddy registrar.

The Executive V President of Godaddy International; Mr. Andrew said that it is a milestone for them to be the registrar of over one million of the UK domains. He further said that

“Reaching 1 million .UK domains demonstrates the value GoDaddy brings to customers by helping them create powerful digital identities. What is even more exciting to us than the milestone itself is the fact that we’ve grown our .UK domains under management by over 50% in the last 24 months. Our organic growth is a reflection that our purpose-built product and exceptional customer care resonate strongly with the UK market. We’re committed to growing our UK business and are excited to continue supporting the digital revolution taking place in the UK.”
Russell Haworth, Managing Director at Nominet, the official registry for UK domain names, commented: “It’s a significant achievement to reach a million .uk and co.uk registrations, and the rate of growth is impressive.  Like GoDaddy, we are committed to making the case for more businesses having their own space online, helping create new opportunities for us all.”

However, we understood the kind of generosity given to each and every new customer by the company and couples with the ideal customer care services are the power behind the development of Godaddy.

However, we  on our own perspective realized that there are more than 10 million UK domains in operation, been registered in the UK and worldwide, thus makes the extension next after .de which is more 16 million in that region

Review on New Generic Top Level Domains (NewGTLDs) Compare With Old Top Level Domains (TLDs)

Yes! New domain allowed people to register, shorter, relevant and recognizable domains, Instead of long, cumbersome and lengthy domain names that are available on old TLDs.  About 300 Registries submitted applications in 2012, following the ICANN’s requests for applications for new domains. Today, ICANN at their conference in 2013 started to change the face of internet and now there are about 400 new domain extensions available online. As of today there are  more than 24 million new gTLDs registered and over one million new websites with new domains that was unable to put up their websites before the introduction of new domain extensions.

Precisely, on 6th December, 2015, I published on my blog here, an article titled Forbes 1000 World’s Billionaires - Why Are there none Domain Investors on that List?Today, I am happy to bring to you the first domain investor to be on that list of World Billionaires.
