Chinese Premium Domain Name, Is It Not Too Late to Get the Good Ones?

Image from namepros

In the middle of this year precisely in June, 2015 the spikes on four letters (LLLL.com) and four digit/ Numbers (NNNN.com) began and now in October the increase of the projection of the spike is going too fast for low cash capital investors to get the good ones.

Can we say again, like the common saying of the experienced domain investors as they usually say - It is too late to get the good .com domains.

I have just observed that if care is not taken, by the end of this year, God knows, the Chinese domain investors could have bought all available premium domains in the aftermarkets and also register all of those low hand reach fruits could have completely be harvested by the fast ones among them and possibly, those non Chinese who understood the logic behind the trend could join them and possibly leave the fruit on the high trees where hands cannot easily reach for harvest.

Surprisingly, can you imagine that domain investors are even in the recent time scrambling for 5 to 9 letters and 4 to 9 numeric are now on fast tracks of investors, though, one can still get the good ones among these types of domain names on .com.  I am also surprised to read about some Chinese investors on namepros.com that bought 30,000 domains on .net extension and another Chinese investor Mr. Xie registered new 33,000 premium six digits NNNNNN.coms premium domains in just two days on 13th and 14th of September, 2015

Another surprise is that it has got to the stage where investors are buying 3 letters from corporate end users with the hope of reselling.

The battle is getting tough and tougher on daily basis and the rich are getting richer in domain investment business. But above all, there is one impression I would love to put aright and that is to give courage to the startup investors to believe that it is never too late to get into this business. Provided one can do a lot of research and diligence in order to know where to cut corners.

4 ways to Cut Corners in Premium Domain Investment:

i.         First and foremost, there is the need to learn the tricks and understand all about what   makes up the Western and Chinese Premium domains.
ii.      Be ready to take a sensible risk of purchasing when due diligent are being made.
iii.       Study a new market and watch when to purchase before the market gets ripped; but that could tie down your money, but however, there is hope of making money ahead.
iv.     Buy premium domains when you can still afford to buy them within your available capital or profits.

What Are Premium Chinese Domain Name?

A brief note collected from Giuseppe Grazino – in his comprehensive starter Guide posted on October 6th 2015. And another comprehensive post and review about someone who purchased 30,000 Chinese premium domains on .net extension, by Shane Cultura In his website.

Chinese premium are in two ways; either numeric or letters, they also come in several typical patterns.
The Chinese premium are combinations of those alphabets excluding vowels i.e. A, E, I, O, U and letter V because letter V is not available in Chinese syllables, also, stay away from double 00 and 4 in case of numerics.

You can have them registered in either .com or .net – It is very rear to get a new one for hand registration in four characters .com, but there are less than 150,000 of .net left for registration as of today. You can register your domains also in other ccTLD extensions, especially .cc which is among the hottest country codes, I am sure of.  The new extension .top is also a good one for registration.

Chinese Premium Domain Patterns:

There are several patterns of the domain names - they are:
1 AAAA (eg pppp.com)
2. ABAB (koko.com or cmcm.com)
3. AAAB or BAAA, ABBA (eg. bbbr.com prrr.com, prrp.com)
4. AABA, ABAA (eg. ggrg.com, rdrr.com)

These patterns can be applied to other more numbers such as 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 and more I have seen somebody who registered 12 digits.

But however, remember that - one major logic in domain name is, the shorter the combinations the better and so it will be liquid-able.

If anyone can still do a much tensed searching, it may be possibly to still find some mixed characters pattern such as listed above i.e. NNLL or LLNN, NLNL or either way.

  1. All patterned .com NNLL, NLNL, LLNN, LNLN and sequence of numbers NNNL or LNNN appear to be registered already. There's still some LNNL with matching numbers and different letters available, but those seem to be disappearing too.
